3 Ways Americans With Disabilities Are Still Being Discriminated Against
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law in 1990. The law was enacted in order to protect the civil rights of those with disabilities and to prevent discrimination against them. The goal of the law is to ensure that those with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else when it comes to things like transportation, employment opportunities, housing, and education. Unfortunately, however, despite the fact the law went into effect nearly 30 years ago, there are still instances where those with disabilities are discriminated against.
